NYS Convention - Grand Finals, Oct. 3&4, 2009

Pictured above is ARBA Judge, Paul Kyle with Dan's Nadia shortly after she was selected for Best Of Breed.  Nadia was my most successful Holland Lop on the table this past weekend.  She amassed 4 class wins, including 2 BOSVs, 2 BOVs, 1 BOS and 1 BOB!  Following very closley behind her was Dan's Abby.  Abby won 3 of 4 classes and also went on to win some higher prizes including: 1 BOSV, 2 BOVs, 1 BOS and 1 BOB!  I could not have been more proud of my two girls this weekend!!!

It was terrific to see all our friends come out for the NYS Convention.  We are hoping that all had a good time and are making plans to return next year.

Full show results for my Holland Lops will be posted in a few weeks.  On both days, both Holland Lop shows ran at the same time, so it was difficult to remember each Holland's placement, unless it happened to be a class win.  Here's a list of my class wins and above:

Comment:  Congratulations to Lauren Morrill, a youth breeder, out of New Jersey with her Best of Breed and Best of Variety wins today!  In the AM Show, she won with Dan's Wilbur (BOB), a broken blue tort senior buck out of THF Saynora's Beavis and Stew's Shannon.  In the PM Show, Lauren won with Dan's Adean (BOV), a solid tort senior buck out of THF Saynora's Lazarro and Dan's Hope.

Lauren also informed me that Dan's Wilbur was Best of Breed two weeks ago in Hamburg, PA!  Congrats Laruen!!!

ARBA Judge Bonnie Burdick is another favorite among Holland breeders!  This breed is all about a body balancing with a big chunky head!  Bonnie gets her body types down and then shoots for the head.  I think we need that reminder that a Holland's head can make or break an animal.  Thank you Bonnie for the nice job you do with our breed!!!
